Does a MBA degree look a lot better for future employers than a MS (Master of Science)?
A MBA degree is very popular and recognized throughout the world than a Master of Science in business related major. Currently, I have a undergraduate degree in business related and it will cost me 2 years to get a MBA and only 1 year to get a MS because of my business related undergrad degree.
Which one is better? Some of the jobs I'm looking at says "Requires a Masters degree..."
As with everything related to advanced education, it depends.
What are your goals - short and long term? How many years of post-undergrad work experience do you have? The MBA is more board and will open a lot of doors. Depending on the specific major in an MS (finance, data analytics, etc) you may find that you have a smaller more focused list of opportunities both upon completing the program and in the longer term.
Some top US business schools offer a 1 year MBA for those who have an undergrad degree in business. Take a look at the Kellogg 1Y program.
