ESCP or Cass- Msc offers

Hi everyone!

I've got offers from Cass and ESCP. The programmes, that I applied to are: Msc Energy Trade&Finance (Cass) and Msc Energy Management (ESCP).
Please help me and give a piece of advice, which I should choose? Which is better?

I was thinking about EDF Group. Although it is a French company, it is operating worldwide. I come from Poland, so firstly I would like to gain experience abroad and then come back to Poland. The MEM programme of ESCP is made in London and then in Paris. I do not speak French, but still I think it is an advantage, but the course content at Cass is for me a bit more interesting. I applied for scholarship at Cass, however the decisions will be made not earlier than in July. It was too late for me to apply for scholarship at ESCP.

I recommend ESCP. The fact that they are interational gives you more flexibility in terms of the university's career network. In addition, ESCP appears for me to have a stronger reputation academically.

I was already so far beyond the point of no return that I couldn't remember what it had looked like when I had passed it.

Did you have a look at their career centers? If I were you, I would obtain a list of companies that attend to their career events - or look up alumnis. Then you can have a good view on the perspectives.

Definitely makes sense to check career services. My gut feeling is that energy/utility firms like EDF will regard ESCP higher than Cass. Plus, the program will probably give you a broader skillset for a range of entry positions while the Cass program is having a more finance-heavy touch. For finance/trading jobs the ESCP degree could be seen as a "stretch" when applying but the Cass degree might be "too specialised" when applying to graduate programs which are quite common for the large employers.

Thanks for the tips. I am very grateful. As you advised, I've checked the career services and both universities cooperate with very good energy companies. However, probably the companies cooperating with ESCP are closer to my career path. Still the choice is so hard... I hoped, that someone attending these courses will share thoughts.
