Essay Topic

I'm working on my final essay for Wharton for this coming fall. The topic is navigating a challenging experience in either a personal of professional relationship. There are two scenarios I'm considering, one personal and one professional.

Personal: going to school while married (wife also a student) with 2 kids and living 1+ hour drive from school

Professional: While deployed as a medic in Afghanistan, I treated an Afghan kid while out on patrol after the patrol leader told me not to. The medics had been granted the authority to halt patrols to provide treatment, but it still caused a bit of a tense situation between the patrol leader and me.

Any advice on which would be looked upon more favorably and/or what may be viewed negatively about either of these?
