Exchange program or internship

I am from a semi target/ non- target school in my country and I am looking to break into investment banking. I was accepted in a exchange program at Notre Dame university and I want to know if it’s a good idea to go or if I should focus in getting an internship instead. Will the exchange program boost my chances ?

I think the internship is more valuable.
