Georgetown MSF?
Hello, I am a prospective grad student who lives in NYC, and I've just been accepted into the MSF programs at Georgetown, George Washington, and University of Rochester w a scholarship. I understand from doing some reading on this forum that MSF programs aren't the most desirable thing, but from the options listed, what should I choose?

My only issue with Georgetown's MSF is that it is basically completely online. I'm worried about how that would affect networking opportunities and on campus recruiting.
That is a good point. From what I know, don't they have events that you are able to come to on campus?
I think this makes it pretty clear that they have excellent opportunities coming out.

Look at their sample employers. It's top notch. For the class of 2020, they had people going to McK/BCG/GS/Caryle.
I will be starting the Georgetown MSF this fall and can say that coming from a non-target, the resources and networking opportunities have been amazing. I’ve been able to attend all of the virtual networking sessions with banks that recruit from the MSB and networked with tons of alumni from Georgetown. I thought alumni would be reluctant to speak with me not being a traditional undergrad recruit, but they have been super open to talking and helping me through the recruiting process for the summer.
Thanks for the answer. Could you tell me more about the bank networking opportunities? I'm looking to be in an internship soon after enrollment, does Georgetown facilitate that?
The MSB career center sends out information each week for bank info sessions open to all Georgetown students and you can reach out to network with alumni at each bank after those meetings. The MSF program specifically also has a career boot camp for students interested in banking and consulting to do mock interviews, networking, resume review, etc.
I just graduated from the MSF program and all of my colleagues got into IB, wealth management or consulting. I currently have 2 offers and waiting on another.
No this program isn’t “all online”. You can take courses on campus if you want. This is more of a hybrid program if anything. You are obligated to go to campus for residency and go to either London/Barcelona/South Africa for the GCP project.
The courses are rigorous (especially the 2nd year).
The network you gain at Georgetown is perhaps the best thing the program has to offer. I would advise anyone who just got into Georgetown MSF program to start networking ASAP. The network does provide you a lot of leverage.
For people saying that’s it a “cash cow” are somewhat correct. A lot of people who didn’t get into their “dream job” didn’t put in the work in (studying technicals or networking).
A lot of the work to pivot into IB or any other position comes down to you. You can do it if you’re determined and persistent. If not, don’t bother.
Just curious do you get to pick where you go for the GCP project or are you randomly assigned?
South Africa - you can apply to what projects you want to work on and then you get selected. You might not get your 1st choice.
Hi sorry for the late comment, but can you provide some color to Georgetown's MiM program as well?
Ideally I wouldve applied to MSF but I missed the deadline, so i'm considering the MiM program.
Would you say the MiM students have equal access to bank info sessions, networking events, finance clubs, exit opps, etc?
