GMAT - Tips to improve Verbal

Title says it all. I’m a native English speaker but my Verbal score is more volatile than the stock market in 2020. I’ve ranged from 34-39 in Verbal, but Quant has remained steady at 45. I need to get my Verbal into the low to mid 40’s. You all have any tips on what/how to study? Taking the exam in a week and would like to avoid retaking.

RC used to be my weakest area, but on my latest exam I only got one wrong. Seems like SC is now my weakest.

Given you have a week and assuming you've covered some solid books (MGMAT, Veritas etc.), there are some useful videos on youtube by @GmatNinja covering verbal. There are also some insightful posts on verbal (debriefs/strategies) on GMAtclub (there is dedicated verbal forum) where you can find them. Good luck!
