GMAT upfront school selection for results

Assume you are not 100% prepared for the GMAT, but the test date is coming up and rescheduling would cost the same as a new test date appointment. Can I go for a "try" and not select and schools to which the test results will be sent to? In case I actually achieve a high score a can always choose that results will be sent to as many schools as I want to (although of course for higher costs, but that's not an issue)

If you bomb the exam, you can cancel your score within 2 minutes after you receive your results at the end of the exam. Cancelling your scores means no schools receive them If you crush it, you can just proceed as normal and your scores will be sent to the schools you choose on exam day.
