HBS interview invites came out this week. I've been discussing with a few people at my former firms as well as a few friends and it seems like many IB / PE applicants either struck out or were deferred to round 2. Anyone have any anecdotes / additional data? Did HBS just push all the finance people to round 2?
Recognize no one has perfect info and it's largely a crapshoot, but curious to compare notes. I know a handful of people at MF and UMM PE firms - two got deferred and the rest denied straight up. Among people applying out of IB, no one was invited to interview (all were denied).
