Help choosing post graduate degree

Dear members,

I would appreciate any advice that you guys could muster. I am an IT specialist with 8 years of experience. I am looking for a course work that can help me secure a good position with one of the top 10 investment banks. I have not quite decided which particular line to purse i.e Risk, Private Equity etc

I am confused between these two courses.

http://www.uq.edu.au/study/program_list.html?acad… with specialization in Applied Finance. (My rationale being working in finance would be better services by a degree in Applied Finance)

or an MBA from a decent university

Any advice that you guys can provide would be highly appreciated. Would be really keen to hear what your views are.
