How does this help your admissions chance? Does it guarantee a spot in HBS? (Given good undergrad degree, decent job)How does TechnoServe look on the app?

I made a thread about "what jobs are great for business school" and a few people said Peace corps, I guess the whole international and humanitarian thing gets the admission commitees' panties wet.

You are also need a good gmat score, excellent essays, excellent recommendations etc.

Disclaimer: The post above has been made by someone who is not currently employed in IBD, and has not had an interview yet...

People that do the Peace Corp don't do it to guarantee themselves a spot at HBS. 2.5 years of your life is a big commitment. I would reconsider volunteering for that long just to get into a top MBA school.
