Incoming Bulge Bracket IB Analyst MBA 2+2 Recommendations

Hello guys,

I am a senior Economics&Business student from a non-European country and I will start to work in a bulge bracket bank in London as an IB analyst. Currently my GPA is 4.0 and I have quite good ECs (foreign languages, international experiences, club presidency etc.) . I am thinking about applying to HBS and GSB (2+2 and Deferred Enrolment).

Given my non-traditional background (non-European landed an M&A job in a BB in London) and strong GPA, I think that I might have a chance to get accepted? I will take the GMAT in a month and hopefully get between 730-750 which is around the median score for 2+2 applicants in Harvard.

I couldn't find anyone who did this in my country so I'd first like to talk to people who have taken 2+2 or Deferred Enrolment path.

Secondly I'd like to get general insight about the application essays (how to position myself etc.).

Lastly, I would like to hear your opinions about when to go to MBA (why 2 years work exp. is not enough?)

Thanks a lot
