Indiana University Undergrad

To preface this post, I’m a senior in high school, but I plan on pursuing a career in private equity or asset management. I’ve been accepted into the Kelley Business school and the Pamplin business school (Virginia tech). I’ve heard many great things about the IB placement for Indiana University with their workshop, so I was wondering if they have some sort of program for PE or AM. If not, I would appreciate any type of insight into their job placements in those fields. Since I’m a Virginia Resident, VT would be a less of a financial burden, compared to dropping 40k on IU. I open the forum to any current students, alumi, or anybody with insight on my delimma.

Iu Kelley is a great business school, coming from a purdue engineering major. Definitely choose Kelley over VT and work hard to get into the IB workshop.

Tbh any school is good if you are URM or engineering major as well, im getting a bunch of interviews for S&T and consulting (not interested in Ib so idk about that field).

Current Kelley Student - I would highly recommend for you to attend Kelley over VT, I've never even heard of their program. There are definitely AM options (IMW); PE is more rare, but possible if you're dedicated. There is a division of a workshop solely dedicated to RE PE if you're interested in that. If you want to go for a more traditional PE route you'd most likely go for the IBW and focus on PE internships.Message me with any questions.
