Is it possible to omit a short job from my application?
Hey all!
If I have a job that lasted less than 2 months on my professional career, can I leave it out of my application/resume to MBAs? I am asking because I got offered a better job with better pay and location that is better to for my career just 2 weeks into my new job. Is it possible to do so, or will the adcoms find out?
background checks hits probably every time when you fill a I-9 form..
@whattherock" so any job I hold that has a salary will always be found?
Anyone else with more insight about this? Thanks!
why the hell are you so worried over it? unless you committed some crimes while being paid, just be upfront and own it! You made the decision to jump, so that's part of the package
Unless it's right after undergrad, they are either going to catch you lying about end/start dates (assuming it's more then say, a month) or they are going to ask what you were doing during that gap (if you leave it as a gap on your resume). There is literally no reason to lie about it because if you talk about it up front, you have all the control in how to frame the job. But if it comes up later, you lose some of that control.
Leave it off the resume and have a gap. If they ask, explain. If they don't, no worries.
That's fine. Doesn't change my advice.
