IU over Stanford?
Hey guys, I had previously committed to IU over Northwestern because I've been reading a lot of posts telling me that IU is an elite target. My parents and Google told me otherwise, but I guess it's good to trust you guys on this forum, right? Anyways, I just got an email from Stanford saying I got off their waitlist. My family was really excited, but I told them to hold their horses because I'd done a lot of research. So many of you are saying Stanford has no finance recruiting and that people there only do CS, and I've heard so much about an IBW that places hundreds of kids into GS/MS/PJT every year. So, if you were in my situation, what would you pick? (I have a week to decide) Thanks!
Please please please stop. Go have a life.
Current intern at a top BB (think GS/JP/MS/RBC) and from a top target (H/Y/P/Kelley). The IBW. at Kelley sends around 600 kids each year into BB/EB while stanford might send one diversity. Go Kelley for sure
Definitely go IU. I chose IU over a variety of other target schools (think Rutgers/Alabama U/my local CC) and I recently accepted a FT offer at a top bank (think GS/MS/JPM/KeyBanc). I credit IU's elite prestige entirely for my offer.
