Keep School Involvement on LinkedIn?
Some prefer to keep campus activities off their LinkedIn while others place it in experience during recruitment and keep it in full time-things like a student investment fund or leadership in a finance/business club. What’s anyone’s opinion for once you’re out of school? Keep the LinkedIn experience section to just internships/work or continue to include campus involvement?
In my personal opinion, I find it extremely annoying when my classmates list student organizations and investment fund classes under work experience. LinkedIn has an “organizations” section specifically for these activities. I’m heavily involved on campus, so I know the time commitment these orgs require, but that doesn’t change the fact that they’re still not work experiences. Just my 2 cents
What do you think of listing it under "Volunteer Experience"? Especially for things like student committee, mentoring programs for freshers etc.
