Kelley IU

I have been direct admitted to Kelley this year. It is my safety school and I’m still waiting on all of my decisions to come back. Obviously Kelley isn’t my top school but I am wondering if I do attend how well can I possibly place into IB (preferably Wallstreet over Chicago). Alumni base? OCR with BB, EB, or some top MM firms?

Hi,

I go to Kelley so I could give you a decent run down of what goes on. IU Kelley places exceptionally well in Chicago, whether it be for banking, CRE or anything else but not as well in NYC. With that being said, its numbers are growing every year in NYC and without being biased I can comfortably say that there is an upward trend. At IU Kelley, if youre looking at IB, there are two workshops that will get you into banking. Its the Investment Banking Workshop and the Capital Markets and Banking Workshop and members from these workshops place exceptionally well and its a bit ridiculous for a school like IU. Members of these workshops have gotten offers from GS, MS, JPM, Evercore, Lazard, William Blair, UBS, Citi and the rest of the top firms (except Centerview idk why tbh). The key to getting into a top IB, ER, PWM, AM or any other finance related job is getting into one of these competitive workshops Kelley offers since they have a solid Alumni base etc etc. If you're not in one of these fairly competitive workshops, ngl its a bit of an uphill climb, which isn't ideal but you still have a decent shot. PM me if you want to know more, would be happy to help!
