Low Degree Classification, High GMAT chances at LBS?

Hey WSO.

Wondering about grades in regards to applications to MiM programmes and other related Masters degrees at schools such as LBS, LSE, UCL, Vanderbilt etc.

Due to some outside circumstances only managed a (low) 2.1 at undergraduate so far. On a work placement year so won't be able to raise that grade (at least, not before I apply Round 1).

However, probable I'll be able to put in the work to get my GMAT to a 700s score (aiming for 720 - 740, depends on how much my quant improves..) and some minor EC work.

Going to have some work experiences (c. half year at tech start up, summer internship in MO at BB).

Is that kind of profile possible to get into LBS MiM?

Had a friend of a friend get in with a ~650 GMAT but higher degree classification.

Any advice?
