Master in Management Profile Evaluation
Hi everyone,
I'm a Spanish student who wants to study one of the followings MScs:
- MSc Management & Strategy : LSE
- MSc International Management : ESADE
- MSc Management - Grand Ecole : ESSEC
- MSC Strategic Management: HEC Paris
- MSc Economics & Strategy for Business: Imperial College
My profile is this:
- AGE: 20 years old
- GPA and University:I'm in the penultime year of a Business Administration bachelor in a Spanish Univeristy (not a top university). My average GPA is 9,53/10, around a 3,98 GPA.
- Work experience: I've worked 3 months in my university, in a computer support job, and 6 months in the strategy department of a small company.
- Extracurricular activities: I write articles in the best Spanish web about masters and business schools, and I play paddle and tennis.
Languages: Spanish (Native), Portuguese (C1 level) and English (TOEFL: 105)
GMAT: 690
Do you think I have any chance to get into one of my target programs? If you were me, what would you do to improve my chances to get into one of those programs?
Thanks a lot.
retake toefl! For LSE you need 107 I think? But that might be different for each program. Obviously your greatest (and probably only weakness) is that you don't have a brand name internship. I guess Spain is pretty tough economy wise, but try to get a consulting or big company internship. I think for all but LSE and HEC you are in for sure though. LSE and HEC are tough to get in but you have a good to very good job.
*shot
Actually, my only work experience are the 3 months in my university, but next year i have to do a 6 months internship mandatorily. I'm gonna try to get into the best company to do the internship, but I think the available companies haven't a good brand name (I don't live in a big city).
Do you think that, if I get into Deloitte or PwC making the 6 months internship, i have any chance to get into LBS or HEC?
About my English, I'm gonna retake my English once I come back from my Erasmus in Bratislava (Slovakia).
Thanks a lot
I would think that your chances at LBS are better. The French and HEC seem to care a whole lot where you went to university for your Bachelors and LBS cares more about your performance (which seems to be outstanding). I am not an expert on HEC at all though, I always hear its tough to get in...
PwC and Deloitte sure would help, but a top industry company with a well known name is fine too...
Is your current degree program in English? Then you may come away with not taking the TOEFL.
