Masters in finance
Hello guys,
I come from a non target uni -acc and finance undergrad (1st class), I have internship experience at big 4 in audit UK then got a full time offer (worked there for 11 months). But I want a career pivot into IB/finance, also I am an international student from Uganda. Would a masters in finance from target really guarantee a job offer after?
Unfortunately even target MFin don't guarantee anything for London IBD. As stated in many topics on this forum, London recruiting is very random, probably the most on the planet, coupled with very high competition. So you should make your choice depending on your risk aversion + financial situation + long term goals.
What about the Middle East? After completing it would it be a good chance to take?
If you're already working in B4, as an international, probably best to just try and transfer from Audit into TAS or into IB itself from there. As French-monkey says, its random. You're competing with every undergrad for the same jobs and you've got no gurantee of better out of the mfin.
I got laid off from the big 4 :( that’s why I had to come back to Uganda
