MBA 2+2 Programs

Hi,

I am wondering wether or not applying to 2+2 programs as an undergraduate and getting rejected would hurt my chances of getting in when presumably applying again a few years later?

Also, generally speaking, have people found it more competitive to get in through the 2+2 program or through regular admissions?

Thanks!

If you apply to 2+2 and other deferred admission programs, are rejected, and then reapply several years later, your earlier attempt will have not hurt your chances when you apply laters.

The deferred admissions program are generally harder to get into. They are the business schools' attempt to grab star performers.

@Linda Abraham

Thank you for your response, do you think the following stats would be considered competitive for a 2+2 program?

Top 10 European Undergraduate Business School 3.7 GPA converted to US scale Founder and President of the Investment Club (many things to talk about here - very solid finance EC's) Decent volunteering Summer front office internship at an elite bank Have not taken yet but let's assume a 740 GMAT

Thanks!

Sorry. I didn't see your response.

The info you provided about yourself is competitive for the deferred admissions programs. Realize however that what you intend to do with the deferral is also important to these programs.

@jmn3ye" is correct that there aren't many of them. Yale SOM and Chicago Booth, however, also have deferred admission programs. Wharton has deferred admissions for Penn undergrads.
