MBA 2+2 Programs

Hi,

I am wondering wether or not applying to 2+2 programs as an undergraduate and getting rejected would hurt my chances of getting in when presumably applying again a few years later?

Also, generally speaking, have people found it more competitive to get in through the 2+2 program or through regular admissions?

Thanks!

@Linda Abraham

Thank you for your response, do you think the following stats would be considered competitive for a 2+2 program?

Top 10 European Undergraduate Business School 3.7 GPA converted to US scale Founder and President of the Investment Club (many things to talk about here - very solid finance EC's) Decent volunteering Summer front office internship at an elite bank Have not taken yet but let's assume a 740 GMAT

Thanks!

The problem with these programs is that there are very few schools that offer them. I believe of the top schools it is HBS, Stanford GSB, CBS, and more recently UVA Darden. With your profile (which looks great if u can make that GMAT a reality), I'd target CBS Deferred Admit and Darden Future Year Scholar if serious about applying.

Hope this helps!

Sorry. I didn't see your response.

The info you provided about yourself is competitive for the deferred admissions programs. Realize however that what you intend to do with the deferral is also important to these programs.

jmn3ye is correct that there aren't many of them. Yale SOM and Chicago Booth, however, also have deferred admission programs. Wharton has deferred admissions for Penn undergrads.
