MBA Career Choice

I am currently looked to down the line at an MBA (1 1/2 out of school) and I am wondering if my current job (consultant at Big 4, Deloitte/PwC) is better than a job I was offered at MM IB in tech (HW,BMO,Lazard,RBC,Jefferies) ? I would look at the MM job and leave for PE after 2 years but wondering which option is better for an MBA in the future ?

Big10prideI would like to eventually go on to run a PE/HF or be a C-level at a major company. And what about the balance between being successful in big4 and being successful at MM IB ?

didnt understand what he said either..

however, place like lazard would open some great opportunities

not sure how you look at it, but perhaps moving to some of those MM IBs would give you new perspectives and way more valuable contacts later on

EDIT:

didnt read carefully, what you mean by IB tech?

technology department? or technology group in IBD

Sorry I wrote that very quickly on my way out the door.

I was saying that both the MM IB gig as well as the Big 4 gig will place you in schools just fine. In essence, doing the job which you enjoy more would be more favorable, from the standpoint that if you enjoy your work, usually you will be performing at a high level (as opposed to working a job you don't really like, where the quality of work may suffer, even if the institution is seen as more "prestigious" or a better feeder program).
