MBA or Masters from an IVY

How much weight does private equity currently in 2020 and in the future hold on MBAs? Is it still a strict requirement? Would there be room for progression if you have a masters in a related field from an Ivy? I am graduating this December, and I am way more interested in continuing my masters part-time next year and have no interest in quitting a job and going to b-school for two years with no guarantees after I graduate. Any insight would help. I am graduating from a non-target school but am attending an Ivy for my masters in sustainable management with a focus on sustainable finance.

Thank you for any insight!
