Vandy MBA grad here who worked in Chapel Hill pre-MBA, so pretty familiar with both programs. For your goals, UNC KF is the right choice - not only does KF have one of the strongest real estate programs, but Owen is not particularly strong in either area you mentioned. Both schools are on similar footing with regard to placement in Texas.
