MBA Value
Senior at a target school going into IB next year. I have been thinking of taking the GMAT senior year now that I don't have many other things to focus on, but I've been trying to think about under what circumstances going for an MBA would be worth it with my background. I imagine only top 7-10 schools would be worth it, but would it be mostly as a way to change career paths into something like consulting or to get post-MBA PE roles? The cost and opportunity cost is of course very high so I don't really see myself pursuing an MBA, but wondering if there are other things I should take into consideration.
If you end up at a target school that's has a strong b-school (m7 if not a T10 b-school), you may want to consider the 2+2 MBA option. It's a way to broaden your network and may help to accelerate your career. Either way, getting in is a great option you don't need to act on if your career goes well straight out of undergrad.
