MPhil Finance at Cambridge advice?
Hey guys,
I need some advice into what to do next. I'm currently about to enter my final year at the LSE (In the UK) studying Mathematics and Economics. I have decent grades, scoring a First Class in all my modules so far.
I'm currently doing an internship at a BB in wealth management, although trading is where i want to end up. (I've also done previous internships in Ernst & Young and HSBC for what its worth).
I'm considering applying for the MPhil in Finance at Cambridge but was wondering if its worth it. Its a butt load of money (i will be paying international fees) but i want to do it if it means i have a bigger chance at breaking into Trading.
Can anyone give me some advice on what to do?
I thought PHD's were for teaching positions. I could be wrong though.
Why not do Cambrige's Master of Finance program. It's shorter and will likely get you where you want to go.
hey thanks for your response. I'm not going for a Phd.
For the Master of Finance, you need a couple of years of work experience (which obviously i don't have). The MPhil Finance is a one year programme.
I was wondering if it was worth it though. Should i just graduate and then look for BB jobs?
