My situation
Hi, I'm currently a sophomore at the United States Air Force Academy majoring in business management with a finance focus. I am interested in doing investment banking one day. We are currently ranked number one for schools that only offer an undergraduate degree in business management. However, the catch is that we have to take a bunch of technical courses such as physics, chemistry, engineering, etc. This tanks my core GPA because I'm not very good at them. My questions are
1) When applying to schools for my MBA, will they look to see if I did well on the GMAT and my major's GPA or will they look at my core GPA and determine that I'm not good enough?
2) When banks are looking to hire, do they look at military service as a good thing especially if you worked with multi-billion dollar contracts in acquisitions, have 5 years service as an officer and have an MBA?
