My summer plans depend on this London SA 24 timeline :))

I go to a weird school that just ended. My internship starts this Monday and I will be interning until Mid-August. I am trying to make plans for vacation/relaxing/summer classes before recruiting really kicks off, but I am pretty confused about the timelines.I have seen that some firms that start in August/September(Apparently MS even ends by late September) Is that when the interviews start? Or is it like just submitting applications? How long after submitting applications do they start reading/ you have to do stuff. Would really appreciate any insights on this.I am female and go to an international non-target college, so I was also wondering if the timing varies by diversity and target schools when you are not in their spring week/diversity program.

Apply as soon as possible, and go on vacation during your school holidays. All London BBs recruit on a rolling basis, and they are literally 1000s applications in the 1st week. (They start immediately)

Interviews can get sent out after 2 weeks minimum because the summer recruitments are a priority - I've been told they don't have time to view all applications; it's literally first come first serve (BofA, Citi, GS, and MS HR told me) -> They have quotas for the number of Interviews held (Like 10 ACs and 5 must be hired people from each AC - this varies with banks)

Later on they, they shift to spring week applications.

Don't forget networking and perfecting your technicals/competencies etc.

For your last point, no timings do not really affect anyone. Those who were in the spring programmes either have received an offer/rejection or will be among the group of people to be interviewed first. Obv, diversity could play a role in terms of getting an interview (but nothing to do with timings). I've seen a lot of ppl get BBs Summer without spring week. It's good you already have a summer internship (hopefully relevant).

Good Luck.

Thank you so much. This is very helpful. You seem very knowledgeable. Can I pm you?
