NYU Stern vs UVA McIntire ~ Grad Help

I have offers from NYU and UVA for an MS in Accounting. I have a great job lined up and just need it for the CPA credits and to look at some other opportunities. Both cost me the same however at NYU I would be living at home a 30-minute commute. I do like UVA a lot however I do miss my family and being around my hometown, in addition, my girlfriend would be moving with me and I think it would be hard for her to find a job in Charlottesville and then move back only 8 months later. My concern with NYU is that I don't know how well the alumni network is. My professor told me the alumni at UVA are much more loyal (not sure how true this is). If anyone can share their experiences I would greatly appreciate it. I am pretty confused about what to do because it seems like the class profiles are pretty similar and students place into similar careers.
