"Opportunity for Development" on Rating, WTF?
So my boss wrote me a glowing review for HBS and rated me "meets" or "exceeds expectations" for everything except "Awareness of Others" where he marked "Opportunity for Development". He just casually said he did it because he didn't want me to have perfect ratings, which made no sense but he had already submitted it. The letter he wrote even says that I have exceeded their expectations since starting and has no mention of why he marked this as an opportunity for development.
Do I need to be worried about this stupid thing? Do they even really assign weight to these ratings? Such a stupid thing to have to worry about.
OK chicken little, you will be fine.
