There's def more than GPA and GMAT. WE, ECs, and essays (goals, why this specific MBA, etc...) are key.

It's all part of a one holistic story that binds your app together. You need to convince the school that your demonstrated success at work is going to make you a successful student leader, who will get a great job post-MBA and donate/support the program after.

Good stats (GPA/GMAT) prove you have the raw power to do well at b-school, but there's a lot more that go into being a successful student/biz leader and your essays demonstrate this w/ examples from your WE/ECs (leadership, teamwork, cross cultural professional stuff, etc...). All of this has to be tailored to the specific program (program's strengths, school culture, etc...etc...). WE/ECs are so much more than just 'ticking the box,' they're your opportunity to sell yourself for the specific school.

Good luck!!!
