Profile Evaluation for Ms. in Finance

Hello every one,

I am from Nepal, Could you please help me evaluate my profile and suggest some master programs in finance I should apply for? I want to apply for the Fall 2017 or 2018.

My grades are as follows:

MBA : 3.75 GPA (Major Finance), Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada BBA : 3.57 GPA (Major Finance and Marketing, Kathmandu University Chartered Professional Accountancy Canada : All PREP courses completed with great distinction (91.96/100), University of Saskatchewan Canada

GRE : 328/340 (162-Q, 166-V, 4.5-AW) TOEFL : 117/120

Work Experience:

  • 1 year of experience in an accounting firm Canada
  • 2 years of experience as a Finance Officer in an engineering consulting firm, Nepal.(Currently working)
  • 1 year of experience as an adjunct faculty- Finance and Accounting in Kathmandu University (Currently working)

  • International Student Scholarship, $ 8,000.00 2005 Columbia University, NY, USA (Awarded for Academic and Extracurricular Excellence) (I got acceptance from Columbia University for BBA but couldn't attend due to the financial problem)

-Volunteer, Earthquake Relief and Rehabilitation May 2015-June Various Organizations, Nepal -Vice President, Finance- MBA Student Association September 2013 –February 2014 Memorial University of Newfoundland - Instructor, English as a Second Language, Association of New Canadians January 2013-October 2013 St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada

I also have some publications in National level newspaper of Nepal.

Based on the information above, which master programs in finance you would like to suggest to me? In addition, can I apply for any scholarship for master in finance? And one last question, in compare with master in finance in Rochester, Simon Business School and master in finance in UNC, which would you prefer and why?
