Pursuing Masters in Finance programs, need advice!

I will be graduating in May 2016 with a degree in Political Science and I am looking to pursue a masters in finance degree so that I can better position myself for a career in investment banking. My current GPA is a 3.0 and on top of my low stat, I don't have any relevant work experience other than a marketing consultant internship that I had during my sophomore year. I've also taken some accounting and economics courses throughout my college years.

I am planning on taking the GREs very soon and I'm also reaching out to professors that will write me good recommendations.

I'm looking to apply to Baruch College because of its proximity to my hometown and its also located in the heart of NYC, where I am hoping to start my career.

Does anybody have any inputs on the application process as well as suggestions on other programs that may be a good fit for an applicant like me?
