Round 1 or Round 2

I'll be applying for MBA programs in UK and US and a few MSF/MFE as well. I'll be giving my GMAT next month and I'm pretty confident of getting a 750ish score(I'm consistently getting 720 in mocks right now) but the other parts of my application aren't ready yet Since most of the applications for round 1 end in September, will it be a good idea to apply straightaway or should I focus more on preparing a better application and apply in round 2. I have a 2yrs Work experience so do I stand a good chance of acceptance?
