Sports at University

Hi,

I am going to Imperial College London in October, to do Electrical and Electronic Engineering but plan to work in quant finance after maybe doing a masters in stats. Next year, I'll have the chance to play for the UK Internationally at the U19 level in a relatively small sport, but this would be a massive time commitment.

I was wondering if having elite sports like this would be a boost on my CV and help me stand out, or if my time would be better spent working and developing my skills and CV elsewhere. To put it into perspective I'll probably have to train ~12hrs a week and do camps all around the UK every 2-3 weeks for the entire weekend.

Any help would be hugely appreciated
