Spring Transfer HELP

I am a transfer student at a "local" non-target, (think CC) and was wondering if I will be in bad shape if I can successfully transfer to a target in the Spring for jobs/internships? If I get in the target, I will probably only be there a month before the deadline comes for SA positions, but will I even be competitive? While in CC I can possibly leverage 2 PWM internships, but don't know if I'll be stuck for campus recruiting/job search for IB internships. If I get into a target, my first "real" summer where I can have a lot of time to prepare for SA positions will be my senior year. Should I take even another semester off and transfer next fall? Help! Thanks.
