Starting my undergrad at SUNY Stony Brook

Hi guys, I'm will be starting my college at SUNY SB in Business(Finance) major. I aspire to be an Investment banker at EB or BB firms. I want some advice from current interns or employees on how should I plan my college and get ready for IB as a student at a Non-Target School. Just consider this as what would you do if you were to begin your college again, what mistakes would you try to avoid..

That's insightful, I'd keep that in mind.
How did you manage to get that first finance internship and how to target the ones which can give relevant experience for a future M&A banker.

Why, knowing you want to do IB, go into college at a non-target?

Thats the thing I would change personally I would of discovered IB sooner so I didnt have do 15x the work at my non target to break into a BB than my target friends had to do.

That's really awakening,
I chose SBU because it was affordable(I come from a middle income family) and near to NYC. But, Now I plan to transfer to target or semi-target.

I went to a similar school in NY and ended up transferring to a semi-target school. I would recommend doing the same. Recruiting was much easier and the school opened more opportunities for me.
