Student Athlete/mid-level MBA student looking to enter investment banking industry

I am a D1 athlete and decided to continue into doing my MBA following undergrad while staying on scholarship at a great undergrad but a top 30 MBA program (think William & Mary, Villanova, Johns Hopkins) because it made sense at the time to just get it out of the way. I am looking to get into investment banking post-graduation, but couldn't get an internship in IB.  I'm debating leaving my program after this semester to try and find a full-time position or staying, graduating next year then trying after graduation. Ehat would be my best path to accomplish my goal?

*note: I fine getting my foot in the door at any sized bank
