I don't think any of the SUNY schools are semi-targets but have heard CUNY (Baruch ??? not from NY so maybe wrong) schools from NYC place well.
From LinkedIn, UB has regional placements idk anyone from there in NYC and the odd person here or there from Binghampton but this is very rare.
My $0.02 is Columbia, Fordham, NYU, and Cornell place well out of NY but things are changing in recruiting. Good luck!
