Tech to finance pivot stories

I am applying to MBAs and I got some feedback on my essay that the story of why I want to make a pivot into TMT investment banking is not very convincing. For context, I am currently working as a technology product manager with an undergrad degree in CS. I am using the MBA to pivot into TMT investment banking.

For those of you who had a software engineering or tech product management background and are applying to MBAs with the intention to go into finance, how did you create a convincing story of why you want to make the pivot in your essays?
