Thoughts on Brown as a school for ib?

As the title states. Wondering peoples thoughts on the school for Banking and PE. I can travel to New York in the summer for internships as my grandmother owns an apartment there.

Have some friends there that have gone through the IB (no idea about PE) recruiting process and these are just my opinions.

Brown is one of those schools with decent placement but not fantastic. Every semi-target (UNC, UT Austin, USC, WashU, etc.) and low-targets (Brown, UVA, Northwestern) has their dozen or so top qualified candidates that can pretty much get looks from the top BBs and EBs. These kids are in the exclusive finance/consulting clubs, rockstar resumes, perfect GPA, and crazy sophomore internships but they are a select few. Pretty much everyone else has to play the numbers game.

If you go to Brown you could def get an offer from at least one MM or BB. But if you want to get GS/MS/JPM or an EB then you'll have to grind hard and be at the top of your recruiting class.

Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Wharton, Stanford, Uchicago, Stern, Columbia are def better. A school like Northwestern or Cornell might be marginally better than Brown but not by a lot. Like I said, those semi target and low target schools kind of get all lumped together as 'good but not fantastic' placement. Ultimately, you should base your decision on where you think you'll thrive, not on some ranking you see on WSO.
