University of London distance based MBA

Hi guys. I wanted to get your opinion on whether a course like below was worthwhile. I'm looking  to do a Masters but I found this MBA which seems credible and also comparatively affordable. Would doing this be a worthwhile qualification? It is awarded by Queen Mary's University and it is the University of London qualification. The fees are very competitive. It is also accredited by CIM and CIMA

It is distance based independent study, similar to open University.

My cousin's husband did a similar course at the open university in London, and he is now a pharma rep pushing pills to doctors. He didn't break into any new industries or anything.

what is the goal here?

hey. I have a lot of empty time at the moment trying to get my foot in the door with banks/HF

I feel like I could use the time to get a post-grad qualification and have applied to UCL, Imperial, Kings etc as well as taking CFA 1 (now resched again to July).

Just looking to build my cv... work/ intern would be preferable... but unlikely in the current situation in London

if you can get into a target, then do that. these open university type schools are great for people who are already working or are just trying to rubber stamp some degree onto their CV. I don't think you can break into banking from the Open University in London (or similar).

Dude I’m no expert but I can tell you right now it’s not credible. Don’t shirk, get your Masters, do CFA L1 if you want (although it doesn’t count for much until you’ve finished all 3 levels) and then apply whilst on the programme. Accredited well established programmes>>>>>>>>Online courses. Period.
