USC Ranks Higher than UCLA

USC has been rising in the rankings and Emory has been falling.  It's getting easier to get into a top business school looking at these new acceptance rates.  What else jumps out at you?

Best Business Schools (MBA) Ranked in 2022 - US News Rankings

The rankings are not something I've ever taken super seriously. It's what one group of people think of the world of business schools. I wouldn't be super worried about what any one "super special" group that does rankings says overall about most things. You can construct rankings lots of different ways and weight different things differently. I'm sure there are tons more rankings that put HBS at 1st place leagues ahead of all other schools. USNWR put HBS 5th. Do I really care how they got there? No. Overall HBS is still an outstanding business school no matter what number it is ranked at.

In conclusion, don't take rankings super seriously.

All of the outlets have a slightly different view on ratings. I would look into how these ratings were generated, what data was used, who was interviewed, etc.
Lastly, read all of the rankings, not just one or two and compare them with your own objectives. Come up with a balanced scorecard or similar before you visit the schools. Also ask key people in your own family and network before making a decision.
