Waitlisted by CBS, seeking advice

Got the waitlist email on Friday, bummed because Columbia was the only school I wanted to attend and thus the only school I applied to. Just spoke to a current CBS school student today who told me she didn't get off the waitlist last year until July and was thus unable to attend any of the pre-MBA trips like the Hamptons one. I was told a lot of cliques in b-school are formed before the fall semester trips through bonding over trips like these.

On the slim chance I do get accepted off the waitlist, will I be at a significant disadvantage going in without the opportunity to bond with my classmates beforehand? Wonder if I should just apply ED next round. I didn't do ED this time around bc my test scores weren't where I wanted them to be.

For anyone curious about my stats: 26F, 329 GRE (retook twice), 3.5 years WE in consulting, top 30 undergrad. Had unique ECs in the art industry and volunteer work. Applied on Jan 11th merit deadline, Interviewed 2/17.
