What can I do to improve my MFin profile?

I am thinking to do an Msc Finance next year and I am wondering how I can improve my profile in order to get into a top business school (in the UK). I have a 2.1 Masters in engineering and by the time I apply will have 2 years work experience in a commercial role within O&G. I have no finance work exp but have worked on various large transactions for my company which I will be able to disclose by the time of my application. I am also taking the IMC. Apart from a good GMAT score is there anything else I can do to try and improve my application to stand out from others, especially as I only have a 2.1 degree. Thanks for any help, really appreciate it.
