What’s the total cost of LBS MFA?
Seeking advice from former students, what's the overall budget needed for the MFA program at LBS, including tuition, housing, utilities, and food?
For those who have recently graduated, how much do you suggest setting aside for the entire year?
Did LSE Masters but i'd assume living costs are similar.
+ 15k gbp for accomodation (assuming you pay 1,200 pcm incl bills in Zone 1/2, and flat sharing, but these costs can go much higher if you want a studio, only zone 1, etc)
+ 12k gbp for living expenses (im assuming 400 per month for food, 100 for transport, 100 for things like gym/monthly phone and spotify subscription, 300 for going out, and 100 for others)
+5-10k gbp for travelling, leisure, etc
I think LBS MFA is at 48k now? Then thats a total of 80k -85k gbp
I'd say you need around 18-20k for basic living expenses total (rent, bills, groceries/household, transport). The 5-10k for travelling/leisure feels very high lol considering you already have 400 in your monthly living expenses for misc. That's altogether like 10-15k on misc fun which is frankly all discretionary.
