Which degree should I choose ?

Hello, hope you are doing well, I’m a first year university student studying A+F at a UK semi-target university and have the opportunity to study Financial Mathematics (first year entry) at another semi-target university. Personally I find A+F not very intellectually stimulating (I understand that changes in further years). I enjoyed maths the most during A-levels even though my lack of time management (I sorted that out) caused it to be stressful. My question is whether it would be worth switching given I want to enter investment banking (maybe S&T but mainly thinking ECM/DCM/M&A). Some reasons to switch:

  1. Job opportunities are larger and MSc/PhD accessibility
  2. University work harder but more interesting
  3. More respected ?
  4. Given AI advancements math may be less vulnerable (correct me if wrong)

Would love your opinion on this, thank you 🙂
