which school

Hi everyone, I have to decision to make and I want some advices. I am currently at McGill university second year and I was thinking of transferring to Ivey western ontario next year since I want to do finance or accounting. However, I just got accepted letter from Emory for a conditional transfer next year. So I was wondering if I should transfer to Emory instead of Ivey? I checked the ranking and Emory's undergrad business seems pretty good. But then again, Ivey is really good too. So I don't know really what to do. I'm not really considering staying at McGill since the Desautel management faculty is really not the university's strengths. Will attending Emory gives me more opportunity for internship and jobs? And also, I'm looking to work maybe in the states or internationally.

Thanks you very much

It's funny you say that, I got accepted into Emory as well from a complete non-target. After a long hard think, I really cannot justify spending $50,000 for another two years on Emory. I would much rather spend the $100k on an MFE from Georgia Tech or a Princeton MF.

...because Princeton MF is so easy to get in to

As for the OP, McGill is easily on par if not superior to Emory, and business is hardly Emory's strength; if you are dead set on finance, and certain you'll get in to ivey if you do transfer to western, then go for it. Otherwsie, McGill is just as good as emory (if not better)

No, I haven't applied to Ivey yet. I just want some advices, cuz if i decided to go to Emory, I won't even bother to apply to Ivey and I won't need to fill out the application, essays etc.

I noticed that McGill does not have an AACSB accredition for it's Desautels management faculty while Emory does. Is the accredition something that the employers really look for?

Thanks in advance
