Yale SOM vs Darden vs Johnson

Fellow monkeys,

I need help deciding which B-school in your opinion will provide me with an overall better experience (both socially and recruiting-wise) if my goal is to break into IB - Yale SOM, Darden, or Johnson? I am purposefully leaving out any details on my priorities, rather want to hear your thoughts on what school is a better option for someone trying to break into the field. I am also curious to hear on other aspects of these programs that you like/dislike. Just to make it a tiny bit easier, I do intend to stay in NY immediately post-MBA.

Appreciate any word of advice.

Yale and Darden are in comparable tiers, Johnson less so. That said, I think the choice should be between the first two.

Going to either one will honestly give you ample opportunities to recruit for associate positions at all the Banks, as they both have very good recruiting programs. However, I do know for a fact that Yale IB club has a fair bit of money to take students on tours to visit the banks themselves, so that may lend you greater insight on what kind of firm you'd like to attend (my friend specifically said the club sent some people to Hong Kong on Yale dime, so they should give you some idea about how much money we're talking.)

If you want info on Johnson for IB, look at my past posts. Honestly, any of these schools will get you there, so if you want more info on Johnson culture/experience, PM me.

Darden student going into IB this summer. Stats for Class of 2016--about 60 IB applicants, over 90 offers, majority in NYC. Most of the recruiting season you never have to go up to NYC. All the BB, some MM, and a few EB are represented. As mentioned, either school gives you good chances in IB. Can chat offline if you want.

only about 60 went out for IB, and of those, prob 50 recruited consistently across banks. Maybe 10 or less didn't get an offer, and probably about 10 who got over 2 offers each. Less that 20% of 1st yr class went out for banking.
