1 person gets in from outside of M7 =/= this forum hyping M7 too much. This forum is emphasizing the EASIEST routes. If you think her resume spells the "easiest" route you're mistaken.
MM consulting is much easier from these schools, MBB is some work but they do get those highly coveted roles.
Ok think about it in terms of conditional probabilities: your statement proves P(MBB|non-M7) > 0, but how does it compare to P(MBB|M7)? Probably still pretty low right? So, no, I don't think M7 is overhyped.
