Are there opportunities to move from UK to US working in S&T

I'm considering a career in trading and was looking to move to US in the future but starting my career in London. Are there opportunities to do this move? If so what desks are more suited to this type of move, and how would this affect my career path?

Depends on the bank you are at. Seen some that send you to the US as a "visiting" analyst, and some who transfer you there straight away after like 2-3 years with the firm. Mostly only IBD folks though, haven't seen S&T ppl do it personally.
